The Sith Review

OK, the girls and I just returned from seeing Sithy, and I must agree with the reviews posted on this blog... it simply is the best one of all six.

We laughed. We cried. We screamed. We cried some more. And that about sums it up. A huge thumbs up to The Man of the Hour, Mr. Lucas. This definitely was the jewel in the Star Wars crown.

The part that was most disturbing was the brilliance of the Emperor... it is so clear in this movie that he has been after Anakin all along. Who knows... maybe we'll find out he was somehow responsible for the virgin conception of Anakin in the first place, but either way, he has his man now. The way Padme dies is just so Romeo and Juliet, and the whole "Jedi do not have attachments" ... well, you definitely understand why... the whole attachment leads to jealousy... jealousy leads to fear of loss... fear leads to, well, you know how it goes.

The coolest thing was that there were so many nods to the 1977 film and the original trilogy... you could see all the elements come together, and for the true die hard fans, it was quite masterful. I found myself towards the end going "oh no, that's terrible" to "wow - that's so cool!" and back again. Just a great piece of storytellin' if I do say so myself.

If you haven't bought your tickets online or already been to see it, shut down your computer now and camp out at the closest theater showing the great epic. If you're not afraid now - just wait... you will be. You will be...
